I had this feeling I could be truly content and at peace in my life.
I found the answer in nature.
I remember from a young age when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up …was happy. The truth was that I was never truly happy for most of my life. I always felt empty or lost.
For the first 32 years of my life I moved around a lot and never lived anywhere more than 2-3 years. I had few friends..I felt like an outcast..like something was missing…that missing feeling carried itself out in various areas of my life.
I’ve noticed other people repeating similar patterns as I did..trying to figure out with their brain how to solve something missing in their lives.
In our culture, we are taught to think real hard when we are faced with a problem and look outside ourselves for the answers. We think that by accomplishing and being successful we will be happy.
The truth is…we have all we need within us in the present moment. That means we are whole and perfect as we are, There is no missing puzzle piece to find.
The challenge is…people don’t realize they are whole.
What I see is that a connection to nature can facilitate a direct experience of wholeness and enjoyment of life.
I do this through guiding forest bathing. On these trips people experience nature in their own way. They are invited to slow down and connect deeply using their senses.
The result is that they not only learn to live a more joyful and peaceful life…
they also get the seeds planted that enable them to discover the true purpose of their lives.
People that I’ve worked with so far are telling me that going forest bathing with me has helped them slow down, appreciate their lives more, and feel much more inner peace.
